Not my favourite. There are worse options though, fire alarm springs to mind.

We’re experiencing “winter weather” today. Not wild enough to classify as a blizzard, but the snow is heavy enough at times visibility is pretty close to zero. It’s also cold, -15C / 5F when I got up and now it’s -16C / 3.2F with a predicted high of only -14C / 6.8F. We are opting to stay home.

We will have to go out tomorrow, we can’t put off grocery shopping any longer, we’re out of way too many things, including any fresh produce. It’ll still be cold, but at least the snow should have stopped.

I’m going to take advantage of a quiet day and spend sometime in the studio. I will try to get the trousers cut out today. I prepared everything yesterday, but I lost the light before finishing and trying to work with black fabric requires more light than my lamps provide.

Question of The Day:
March 2 - Dr Seuss was born today in 1904 - do you have a favourite book of his?
Probably “The Cat in The Hat”. Though “Green Eggs and Ham” as well as “How The Grinch Stole Christmas!” are tied for a close second.

Yesterday – croissant day - we received a couple of croissant from Food Rescue! I doubt that was on purpose, but yay. It made a very nice sandwich for my lunch.

Question of The Day:
January 31- When was the last time you looked at some art?

Well, we do have art displayed here at home, some made by one of us, some from other artists. That said, I know how easy it is to become blind to what you see every day. I don’t remember the last time I was able to see art in person. Most of what I see these days is from different online sources and in books. My most recent book adventures with art were,

What People Wore When: A Complete Illustrated History of Costume” ed. Melissa Leventon which featured the art of Friedrich Hottenroth and Auguste Racinet.

500 Years of Textiles” ed. Jennifer Harris

Both are very dense books and will need multiple perusals. Thank goodness for libraries!

P.S. High today of +11C / 51.8F. We will see, we got up to +13C yesterday, 4 degrees above the predicted high.

Question of the Day:

January 1 - Today is Science Fiction Day - are you a fan, and if so, what is your favourite book, film or TV series?

Very much a fan!  Couldn't choose one specific favourite, can't even choose one per medium.  I do tend to read more (way more) than I watch TV or movies. Hmmm, maybe at some point I'll make a list of all my favourites.

P.S.  I never could understand why fandom often insisted one had to choose between Star Wars and Star Trek I loved them both.
