Anyone one else remember that tale? I can picture the illustrations, but the details of the story no longer remain.

I’m pretty sure I’m a country mouse now. Today was our city day and every time we go, the harder I find it. There are just too many people and way to many of them do really, really, really dumb things. I do not want to be a witness to a horrible scene. TYVM!

Question of The Day:
March 19 - International Read to Me Day - did you have family members read to you when you were small? Have you ever had to read aloud to a large number of people?
Yes, lots and lots of reading happened here. Mom was an early primary teacher. I read lots to my kids too. I have read to fairly large crowds, just small passages or letters though, not whole books.

And the now fairly typical catching up:
March 18 - Global Recycling Day - is it easy to recycle items like plastic, metal, glass and paper where you live?
Hah! Had no idea this was a thing, but we took (almost) all our recycling to the depot on this day. We hadn’t been in ages and our garage was filling up. It’s not as easy doing it here as it was in the city. The city had recycling pick up and you just dumped everything in a single bin for them to sort. Here we have to drive to the depot and have to sort it all ourselves. It’s not really that big a deal though, takes about 5 minutes to get there and we presort.

March 17 - St Patrick's Day - are there big celebrations of the Patron Saint of Ireland where you live? Do you take part?
Not really, the local bars have promotions and there’s shamrock decorated cupcakes at the grocery store, but nothing big. And nope, not a bar person nor a fan of grocery store cupcakes with any kind of decoration.

March 16 - In 1822 Rosa Bonheur - artist was born. She specialised in painting animals some of which you can see here. Have you ever tried to draw an animal?
Yes I have, it did not go well. I’m much better with architecture.

March 15 - In the UK it's Comic Relief Red Nose Day - a day to raise money for charity. Red noses are available to buy in various places - have you ever worn a red nose?
Nope, nope, nope and double nope.

P.S.  Weekend weather was gorgeous, sunny skies and warm.  Highs around +16C / 60.8F.  Yesterday was pretty good too, though the wind really kicked up about mid afternoon.  Today the high was +5C / 41F and we're expecting snow anytime now.  It's supposed to continue to snow for the next 5-6 days.  Guess Mother Nature didn't want us getting too excited about spring.
