So yeah, long, long, long time no talk. I keep saying I'm going to revive this blog, but never do. I'm always looking for the right/best way to start again and never find it. So we're just gonna go for it.
Planning to start slowly and with some help, AKA writing prompts and/or questions:
Question of the Day: Do you have a stash of buttons? Does or did someone in your family have such a collection?
Absolutely! It's from a huge variety of sources; leftovers from projects (there's always at least one left if the buttons are sold in a package/on a card), from projects that were planned and never got made up (a frighteningly common situation here) as souvenirs and just because I was in a fabric/trim store and they were pretty. I also have vague memories of buying cheap bulk bags of random buttons from Zellers or some other discount department store (pre-Walmart coming to Canada).
Both Mom and Grandma had button tins (usually a Danish Butter Cookie tin) Mom inherited Grandma's tin and during Mom and Dad's most recent move, Mom passed both stashes on to me. There's some really great vintage options in there, plus a whole lot of OMG why?!? Have I removed the questionable ones? No I have not. What if they stop making buttons and I need one?

(I see the the "Question of the Day" with answers on various blogs I read, but I have yet to track down the source to properly credit, apologies)
