alteredzedThe excitement of spring weather in Alberta, oh yes. Yesterday felt like mid-summer not spring, high of 27 C with a fair bit of sun. Today, not so much, it's more like late fall. We're at 9 C now and we've already had heavy rain and wind gusts up to 20 km/h. And it's going down hill from there, winds increasing to 68km/h and up to 10 mm of rain.
All of this means it's a good idea to stay inside and read! I'm thinking of a re-read on the fics currently posted on Rough Trade. Need to do that before they're cleared off. I'm a relative newcomer to the site and I'm enjoying it so much. However, it's been responsible for several rabbit holes I've fallen down ;D (okay, more accurately the writers have been, but still) and I'm afraid I'm ignoring stuff I should be doing. Ah well, the housework will still be there when I work my way back out of these holes, right?
I've been avoiding the Harry Potter fandom completely, but when I realized that Jilly James's contribution to The Mulligan was a Harry Potter fic, I decided to give it a go. There's nothing she's written I don't like, so I figured why not. And I wasn't disappointed, "Slytherin Black" is fantastic! Once I finished that, I moved on to Keira Marco's "Darkly Loyal" (another author I trust~and I'm loving this work, it's amazingly cathartic :D). After that it was on to the other HP offerings on Rough Trade as well as those on Jilly, Keira and Ladyholder's (also a writer who's works always please) personal sites. And I have to say thank you to these great writers for hours of entertainment.
